so
I feel I oughta begin by pointing out that growing up, I listened to whatever my parents listened to because ... they controlled the radio in the car and the house, so that was generally oldies rock 'n roll, classical, and country music.

So my first introduction to Michael Jackson came through .... Disneyland (which we visited quite frequently, and where I performed with my dance team after first, third, fourth, and fifth grades).

Captain Eo (two separate links leading to the two halves of the short movie on YouTube; sadly, it's not in 3D like it was at Disneyland). I have a serious soft spot in my heart for that short movie. We watched it at least once every time we went to Disneyland. I seriously got upset the first time we went to Disneyland after they had replaced it with something else. I wanted to cry, but I was fourteen (I think) at the time, and it wasn't ~cool~ to cry over a movie at Disneyland.

RIP, MJ. :(
