( Rolls ramblings. )

So, work tonight sucked. My back, knees, ankles, and feet were killing me. I was frakking tired of the music that all sounded alike. I was frakking tired of dealing with people who were trying to get five people in on one ticket.

And then I came home and joined chat and did rolls for the King's Cross battle that's coming up. And the comments and reactions and everything that accompanied rolls just totally made everything better. Then I sat and worked for nearly two hours (the last roll was done at 12:16, and I finished at about 2:09) on pairing up characters and NPCs and trying to work around people's schedules and using the map Edgar created. I just hope it works for everybody. Actually, after a while, doing the pairings kinda became a little zen for me. The healers are gonna have their hands full, though. Lots of injuries, and poor Moody. :( I'm gonna have fun with Seph, at least. XD

Firstly, it's official: my own character creeps me the fuck out. And then Wolfie mentioned in chat that it sounds like she's asking Barty out on a date which, let's face it, she practically is, given that torture and murder is practically foreplay to those two. What was it we agreed on, Whit? xD Torture & murder and then ice cream? (Even though she creeps me out, I freaking love her anyway. She's so much more deliciously unhinged than I had originally planned, but it's actually really perfect.)

And secondly, speaking of chat, there's an Order meeting tomorrow evening (okay, technically this evening) in which The "Potential" Attack On King's Cross is discussed, along with such mundane and unimportant topics as suspected death eaters and horcruxes. Not that either of those are important to plot or anything. But so anyway, a few weeks ago, Edgar took it upon himself to take a map of King's Cross and start asking Order members to sign up for positions on the map. In his entry, Dumbles basically asked Edgar to stick around after the meeting so they could play Wizard's Chess and chat. Tonight, Moody made a post all "YOU BETTER BE THERE IF YOU'RE NOT KIDNAPPED OR DEAD" and stuff, so ( this conversation ensued in chat. )

In conclusion: Edgar Bones and Alastor Moody breakdancing for Dumbledore's affections is quite possibly the best mental image in the history of mental images.

So, tonight is apparently Date Night At Horcrux or something. xD First Remus and Addie, then Sirius and Marly (!!), and now Benjy and Greta have all made plans for dates tonight. xD It just amuses me that three dates were all arranged within a few days of each other for the same evening. Sirius and Marly at six, Remus and Addie at six thirty, and Benjy and Greta at seven thirty. Too bad they're all at different times, or they could totally go on a triple-date~



Unrelatedly? This movie is so horrible it's epic. If you have Netflix, put Python in your queue. I don't think it'd be worth the money to rent it otherwise.

That turned into a lot more tl;dr than I'd expected at first. xD Especially the stuff on the game.

Just keep in mind, y'all, that you can suggest any plot at all: something small, something large, something seemingly stand-alone, or something that has long-reaching consequences, whatever you think would work in the game. Obviously I have my own ideas, but I'm more than open to y'all's ideas and opinions, and nearly anything can be worked into the game, given enough planning.

It's official. Barty / Persephone is my new OTP. I also find that comment about her keeping him sane utterly amusing, considering how freaking unhinged she is herself. xD

I feel like I'm tooting my own horn a lot lately, but seriously, I love everyone at find_horcruxes. Guys, I have been so freaking worried about this game since, um ... almost a year ago when I first started coming up with the idea and mulling it over in my head. I've been worried that it would be boring, that nobody would be interested in it, etc etc. But guys, you blow me away and I'm scrambling to keep up from a modly standpoint and having to think on the fly to take into account things that are happening (like our lovely Auror trainees ... you just gotta love their idiocy) and work that to the benefit of the entire game.

And, okay, seriously. If you aren't a member of FTH yet ... you really should go check it out. We're having a lot of fun and the funtiems of war haven't really started rolling in-game yet. We have a big-ass attack on Diagon Alley happening in a week, and I would particularly love more Death Eaters (especially first-generation / inner circle DEs ... or just plain OLDER DEs) around to roll their eyes at the idealistic bloodism of the young'ns. Additionally, more active fighters in the war (more Ministry peeps, especially older Aurors and maybe even some older trainees, too) would be much appreciated. I'm going to start doing ads this week (now that I'm mostly recovered from my Queen of Klutz routine, I actually mean it), so if you want to claim somebody, now's your chance! Rodolphus Lestrange, for example, is open, while his brother is played and his wife held. Barty Sr is available, and I'm sure his loving, darling son would just LOVE to have his daddy dearest around so they can play catch and talk about the birds and the bees and all sorts of swell things like that!

Don't be scared! It's lots of fun!

All this excitement over find_horcruxes is making me even more excited. :D Considering I started working on this last OCTOBER, tomorrow has always seemed SO FAR OFF and now it's tomorrow and I'm excited and hate the fact that I have a midterm tonight, an annotated bibliography due tomorrow, and another midterm due Thursday so I can't fully concentrate on the game right away, but OMG FRIDAY I AM SO GOING TO BE THERE. ♥ And procrastinating tomorrow and Thursday too, of course, but on Friday I will be LESS GUILTY about it.

Also, I've decided to be nice.

I'll post the calendar tonight around 11 my time (midnight EST), and then people can have at it with the posting and the starting of the game and stuff like that. I'll still post the DP article in the morning, it's just that it won't be the kick-off point anymore.
