I fell behind last night, and I am saddened by that fact...I was doing birthday things with the fiance (who treated me to dinner at Friday's...my birthday tradition...along with a frozen Cosmopolitan and happy funtimes Red Sox music!). BUT I have a funny story to tell this morning.

I had this amazing dream, you see, in which teh boy found out that he was actually supposed to be the king of some country. He was crowned king and everyone was crying and I was like "WOOHOO I AM QUEEN NOW AWESOME!!" and we were checking out the castle after everyone left because, hey, it's a castle, and it had more cable TV channels than we'd ever EVER seen, including one that was just Marlon Wayans doing stupid stuff 24/7. Anyway, all of a sudden, the major domo shows up and tells teh boy, "You'd best get that bitch (meaning me) in pup. You need an heir, and if she can't give you one, you need to get rid of her."

So that was unhappy. And then I woke up, and my period had started, which leads me to only one conclusion:

My ovaries are teh boy's major domo.

Seriously! It was like one of those sitcom sequences where the woman's getting older and her ovaries start playing characters in her dreams or manifesting as dancing babies...I thought that was just a sitcom thing, but it's NOT. It happened to me! And I think it's hilarious.

...not hilarious enough for me to stop using the patch and condoms and throw all my plans for the next two years to the wind, but still hilarious.

I bet I probably forgot somebody, but I thought I'd try a group shot of my lady RP characters, as sort of a warm-up for a cartoon my fella RP characters, ( given that there are twice as many of those jerks. )

Next lady I play will actually have a sense of humour AND confidence -- AT THE SAME TIME (and not be a creep like Nell).

SECOND: I'm not doing Nanowrimo this year after all, and instead have decided to hem and haw over rpwrimo instead. While I'm not doing it officially (though I might tally it up at the end of the month), consider me available for any scenes you'd like, anytime, every character -- ever! I'm vomiting spare time these days, so I'll probably even start the log (or I can write you some drabble or somethin', if that interests anyone at all).

(I think there's a sketch-a-day sort of challenge too, but nuts to that. ... though I do plan to force myself to draw more.)

So in my Drama class instead of turning in our proposals for our term papers we went over two that people had saved on thumb drives to use as examples and critique.

Mine was one of them.

It wasn't too bad. I really needed to know if what I had done was the right kind of idea, and I liked my ideas within the theme I picked (The American dream seen through the plays Fences, Death of a Salesman and Angels in America), so getting my grammar ripped apart in front of everyone wasn't all that painful. I guess apparently my idea changed partway through, and I could now either stay with the topic I proposed, or write about the ideas of public vs. private personas and how society dictates who we should be. I don't know what to pick. If anyone wants to read what I have and have chats about it with me, I think that might be helpful. It's only 4 pages long. It would be cool to hear about what other people think of my ideas who haven't read those plays to see if my arguments are complete.

I got my History midterm back today, too, and was ONE freaking multiple choice question away from getting an A on it. UGH. He really really liked my essay, though. Yaaaay for prepping for the right sample topics two hours before the class started. I should be happy with that B+, though, considering I barely studied for the dang thing. Coasting will not be an option once I stay at the 300-level classes.

Besides that I put my name into the snaps cup. I'm about to rush off to work, but I'll comment on other peoples' when I get home. I don't feel as shitty this week as I have the last...month or so, but extra love always helps, right?

I don't remember when the last one of these I saw was; I just remember that I didn't participate and comment on nearly enough people's posts. This time, it's my resolution to do better, and so I will.

My only real complaint about the past few days is that the leg I busted at Rocky Horror is restless. It is both sprained and restless. So, I've been taking it easy, trying to NaNo/RP/write for class/do my research assistant stuff, and, then, out of nowhere, it'll start going, "You know what we should do? THINGS. We should go do THINGS. Like, I don't know, DDR. Or running a marathon. Or going up and down the steepest hill on campus just because! Or, or, or SOMETHING. That'd be AWESOME, let's do stuff." …And it's sprained, so I can't do much more with it than the awkward, gimpy walk thing I can do with my crutches. I had no idea a limb could be both sprained and restless.

Well hey there, Snaps Cup. I was hoping one of these would pop up soon! :)

The managers are throwing us a nacho party today because we've been working hard. I approve of this.

So it's my birthday, and I am inching closer to thirty, but I'm trying to stay positive and enjoy today, since I got my manual done and printed yesterday and my fiance is taking me out to dinner tonight AND I have presents arriving from multiple sources, apparently, so the "only four years until you turn 30!" thing is being pushed on the back burner because I'm not older, I'm only wiser.

Or something.

When I get back from class today, I intend to ramble about many a thing because it's my birthday and I feel like rambling, especially about my random fangirling of the Disney Fairies franchise, but I figure I'll save that until I'm not in class and trying to pay attention to the lecture for the first time since getting my manual done (the last two weeks have been spent working on said manual in class because I'm like that).

But yes. It is a good day.

I am really in love with Katerina Graham who plays Bonnie on The Vampire Diaries (and, you know, the show in general) and it's making me really want to PB her. Which is bad, because I am maxed out on characters at both wished and eligere and I definitely do not need more anywhere else.

She's so adorable, though.
