I'm at school at the moment, in the library, printing out articles and seeking out those that aren't available online but are (supposedly) in the library in hard copy.

And as I'm pulling into the parking lot, this song came up, which made me think of little Lizzie Cornfoot, which made me sad, and now I will forever associate this song, or at least the beginning of it, with her:

Wow, that tl;dr ended up a lot longer than I'd expected, and it took me nearly two hours to write up. >> But yay for character development!

So, out of curiosity, I started a gdoc spreadsheet of all the wands in FTH, to look at various stats.

And in the process of doing stats, I had to see how many wands there were, total.

That total is 94.

If you then add in the two wandless vampires ...

FTH has ninety-six played characters.

And unrelatedly, I put up the answers to the song lyrics meme. The bolded lyrics are the ones that went unguessed, though I think I'll give Kate credit for #30, because I was trying to avoid using covers of songs (unless, like with #46, the cover started out with a different part of the lyric), and I hadn't realized that was one.

So, because Claire is evilevil, she made me want to resurrect one of my old characters and bring her to FTH. I don't think I wanna use the same PB, though, so I've been kinda skimming for a possible replacement PB.

And I think I've found one, though I'm not entirely sold.

But upon browsing her fan site for pictures, I found two very good signs that she oughta be PBed at FTH (by me or by someone else): she gets around with our guys already.

Oh, Marly.

After a month of having this elephant on her chest, this need to say something to someone (other than James, who kept trying to assure her that he didn't blame her, but didn't seem to understand that she blamed herself) about what happened at KC on Sept 1, she finally told Sirius. And, naturally, his reaction just makes her want to tell the others (Lily especially, but also Remus and Peter) that much less (though she's thinking Sirius will probably tell them and then they can all hate her together).

Damn you, Barty, for doing this to her. *fistshake*

Even though I don't play a Black at FTH (and even though I kinda suck at character soundtracks), I'm almost tempted to make a Black Family Soundtrack. Partly because Jamie's tl;dr about Andy made me realize that the song I'd had stuck in my head all day was absolutely perfect for Andy and/or Sirius with regards to Regulus. The Dutch Courage by The Spill Canvas.

Went to bed a little after 6 am.

Got up a little before noon (after semi-waking-up a few times).

But y'know what? SO WORTH IT. Even though I can't read the whole thing through in one sitting without getting sad. Even though I can't even look at the heading for page 5 without tearing up. Even though I've been massively stressed over the past few days as I worried and spazzed over whether people would get their logs done in time. Even though two of my characters took major beatings.

But putting that up? Our first major battle at FTH?

SO. WORTH. IT.


(Also, ngl, the new battle system that Kate and Alie thought up, which we're unveiling tomorrow, is ~brilliant!~)

So, work tonight sucked. My back, knees, ankles, and feet were killing me. I was frakking tired of the music that all sounded alike. I was frakking tired of dealing with people who were trying to get five people in on one ticket.

And then I came home and joined chat and did rolls for the King's Cross battle that's coming up. And the comments and reactions and everything that accompanied rolls just totally made everything better. Then I sat and worked for nearly two hours (the last roll was done at 12:16, and I finished at about 2:09) on pairing up characters and NPCs and trying to work around people's schedules and using the map Edgar created. I just hope it works for everybody. Actually, after a while, doing the pairings kinda became a little zen for me. The healers are gonna have their hands full, though. Lots of injuries, and poor Moody. :( I'm gonna have fun with Seph, at least. XD
